`Joe` Joseph Richard Devine, of Vaughn, passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved family after bravely fighting for his life due to a devastating surgery. Joe left his loved ones missing a piece of their hearts. A celebration of life will take place Saturday; August 19th, 2017 at 2 O’clock pm at the Mountain Family Fellowship Church in Helena, Montana which is located at: 6145 N. Montana Ave. A private family spreading of his remains will take place at a later date. Joe was born May 26th, 1958 in Butte, Montana, to his parents James Paul Devine and Florence Ella Webber. Joe was the youngest of five siblings; Jonnie, Michael, Paula, Darlene and `Patrick` James. Joe was considered by those that truly knew him to be a free-spirited “Wild Man” He had a love of adventure and could only live his life to the fullest extent of his being. On June 18th , 1984 Joe married the love of his life to share in his awe-inspiring reality, Cindy Lee (Rang) Devine. The couple melded quickly into a blended family having a total of six sons; Jeremy, Jade, James, Jace, Jake and Jamison as well as one daughter Desta. Joe had a love of Harley’s and teaching his boys the love of riding almost as soon as they could walk. He was an adventurous mountaineer, a fearless motorcycle enthusiast, a concrete-finishing businessman who was unafraid of back-breaking work, a gold-panning sapphire hunter (who is loving the streets of gold in Heaven.) He could always find the best camping spots high in the mountains and would invite all his family and friends. Above all he was a devoted and protective family man. He had a reputation for being a hard man, yet those who knew and loved him knew that his heart was full of love and gentleness, which can be shown in his last words recounted to his beloved wife as he held her close; “I love you forever my love, I love my boys, I love my family.” Joe was preceded in death by his parents. Joe is survived by the love of his life, Cindy Devine; his children Jeremy, Jade, James, Jace, Jake, Jamison and Desta. As well as nineteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his boxer dog, Sniper.
