After WWII Joyce and Ed lived in Choteau, MT for a few years before they moved to the Trenton, ND area where they farmed on the Buford Trenton Irrigation District for many years.  Joyce also worked 28 years as bookkeeper/secretary at the Buford Trenton Irrigation District.  Later they were caretakers of the Ft Buford Historic Site.  In 1988 they retired and moved to their present home 5 ½ miles South of Choteau, Montana, which they called Meadowlark Hill.

Ed and Joyce had six children, JoAnne (Dennis) Erickson of Butte, MT; James (Sue) of Fairview, MT; William (Karen) of Choteau, MT; Donna (Darrell) Falcon of Minot, ND; Timothy (Donna) of Standish, ME; and Peggy (Roger) of Clarinda, IA.  She is survived by 5 children, 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.  Joyce is also survived by her sister-In-law, Alice Landes of Provo, Utah and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dear Donna and entire Duffey family, we send our heartfelt sympathy to you all. While I lived in Trenton, my father, Finley Falcon, worked for the Buford Trenton Irrigation Project and knew your mother. He often commented on what a kind and nice lady she was. And in our conversations with you, we knew that to be true. You also talked about what a wonderful mother she was. We know you will miss her but will remember her in loving memories. God bless her, you and her family. With Love, Ron & Darlyne San Antonio, Texas

To the family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to put an end to all the things that have plagued mankind for centuries including pain, suffering and death (Revelation 21:3,4). May these promises from God give you comfort now and real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.
