I'm so sad to hear of Fred's passing. I grew up knowing him and he was a gentle soul. Always smiled and spoke to everyone. My fondest memory of Fred is in church when we would sing and request songs. His favorite was " Is your burden heavy". I love that song to this day.. No more burdens for him and I'm sure he heard "well done good and faithful servant.". All my love and prayers to the family.

My condolences to the entire family. I spent many days at the Scherrer house and I always could count on a great conversation with Fred. He had the most beautiful blue eyes and a gentle soul. Like the song says, If I had five more minutes, I would like to spend them with you. Enjoy your afterlife you lived your life well and can have conversations with all who have loved you. My heart goes out to Phyllis and the boys and their families.

My condolences to the entire Scherrer family. I spent many days out at the ranch and I always enjoyed the conversations with Fred. He had the most beautiful blue eyes and a joy to be around. May he be at peace in his afterlife. To Phyllis and the boys, stay strong and know how lucky you had Fred in your lives.
